About Safe Harbor Home Care

Our Process

Initial Call

Here we gather as much initial information as possible to understand your loved one’s care needs. We’ll answer any questions you may have and begin to help guide you through the process. This will allow us to create a Client Profile tailored to your loved one’s needs.

Meet the Family

Let’s meet one another and get to know each other. We set up an appointment to best suit you. This helps us understand your expectations and allows us to create an individualized Care Plan. We do a comprehensive assessment and environmental analysis. Next, we find you the best-fit caregiver.

Now that we have gotten to know the family and have met the client, we will match you with the caregiver that we believe would be the best fit. Many factors are considered here, including activities of daily living (ADLs), and much more. We work hard to ensure your loved one is comfortable.

A Foundation of Caring

Founder, Keith Hueffner, is a clinically experienced registered nurse with a background working in New York City’s public hospital system. His career focus is in geriatric nursing, advocating for seniors who choose to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Long Island native, he understands the needs of the communities and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of individually tailored care. Additionally, he works closely with family members to ensure the safety and well-being of their loved ones bringing them peace of mind.

Keith worked as a physical therapy assistant for four years while studying for nursing school. He gained hands-on experience in patient recovery from major operations, trained to rebuild their strength and balance, and helped relieve aches and pains. He foresaw the necessity of home care as aging family members could use assistance around the house.

Keith recognized the importance of home care services, and his mission to serve the local communities began with the establishment of Safe Harbor Home Care.
